The VI Peel® is a medium-depth medical-grade chemical peel that penetrates beyond the epidermis into the upper dermis, stimulating collagen and elastin production, accelerating cellular turnover, and targeting pigmentation at the melanocyte level. Unlike superficial peels, its proprietary multi-acid blend delivers exfoliation and collagen stimulation simultaneously for more significant, lasting skin transformation. Phenol is included as a topical anesthetic, making the treatment virtually painless with no preconditioning required for most skin types.
Gig Harbor’s active waterfront lifestyle keeps residents outdoors year-round, from time spent along the historic harbor to sailing and paddling on Puget Sound. Sun exposure that persists even on overcast days, along with the area’s characteristically damp conditions, make concerns like melasma, sun damage, uneven pigmentation, and acne scarring especially common among residents here. At Gig Harbor Aesthetics, the VI Peel® is available in two targeted formulas, each designed to address specific skin concerns with clinically proven results.
The most targeted formula in the VI Peel® line for stubborn pigmentation, sun damage, melasma, and the visible signs of aging, enhanced with peptides for deeper collagen support. This formula works by suppressing melanogenesis at its source while stimulating collagen and elastin production, resulting in visible improvements in pigmentation and skin structure.

The VI Peel® is a medium-depth medical-grade chemical peel that penetrates beyond the epidermis into the upper dermis, delivering both exfoliation and collagen stimulation simultaneously. It is safe for all Fitzpatrick skin types and requires no preconditioning for most patients, making it a more meaningful option for patients seeking correction beyond what superficial peels can deliver.
The Precision Plus + Peptides formula addresses hyperpigmentation, melasma, sun damage, and early signs of aging. The Purify + Peptides formula is designed for active acne, acne scarring, and post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation. Your provider will recommend the right option during your consultation.
Cost varies depending on the formula selected and your treatment plan. A complimentary consultation is included with every first-time peel appointment, during which we will walk you through all available options and pricing.
Peeling typically begins on days 3 to 4 and is largely complete by days 5 to 6. Full results are visible by day 7. Do not pick or pull peeling skin, as this can cause irritation or scarring.
Recovery is minimal. Some mild redness and tightness are expected in the first couple of days, with peeling beginning around days 3 to 5. Normal activities can be resumed right after your appointment. Keeping the skin moisturized and protected with SPF helps support the healing process.
